Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026.
The GMas ("we", "the app") is a personal garden diary. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. This is a starting template — have it reviewed before launch and fill in the bracketed items.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address and an optional display name, used to sign you in and secure your data.
- Garden content you create: growing areas, plants, dated logs, notes, and weather/watering entries.
- Photos you choose to attach to logs.
How your data is stored
Your account and content are stored with Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage). Access is restricted to your account by security rules — other users cannot read or write your garden.
AI plant diagnosis
When you request a diagnosis, the photo(s) and any symptoms or context you provide are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the assessment. We do not send your email or account identity with that request beyond what is needed to perform it. The returned diagnosis is saved onto your log.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not show third-party advertising.
- We do not use your garden photos to train models.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete your entries in the app.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at [contact email].
Children
The GMas is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above.
